Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) is a Spanish heist drama about a group of bank robbers, and one of Netflix’s most important international series.

Bella Ciao, a classic Italian protest song, is extensively used in the show, and across the years it’s become covered and parodied by everything from YouTube content creators, to internationally recognized artists.

In order to celebrate the release of Part 3 of the series, we decided to go all out by taking our love for the song to the very extreme. The idea was simple: An in-studio livestream playing nothing but Bella Ciao for 8 hours. Yes, 8 whole hours.

However, the execution was anything but simple. We rented a huge studio in Bogotá and organized a full schedule with professional musicians, drag queens, rappers, and performers of all types who would create their own tribute to the song and perform it live for our simultaneous Facebook and YouTube livestreams. What ensued was a very fun day full of surprises.
